SmileSmart provides general dental health information for educational purposes only. The content on SmileSmart — including articles, AI chat responses, and community posts — is not a substitute for professional dental or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Never disregard professional dental advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on SmileSmart
• If you are experiencing a dental emergency, contact a dentist or emergency services immediately
• The SmileSmart AI chat is an AI assistant and is not a licensed dental professional

3. Your Account

When you create an account on SmileSmart:

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You agree to provide accurate information when registering
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Community Q&A Guidelines

The SmileSmart community is a place for genuine dental questions and helpful answers. When participating, you agree to:

• Keep posts relevant to dental health topics
• Be respectful — no harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks
• Not post medical diagnoses or professional prescriptions
• Not post spam, promotional content, or links to external sites
• Not impersonate dental professionals or make claims of professional credentials you do not hold
• Not post content that is false, misleading, or harmful

We reserve the right to remove any community content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly violate them.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on SmileSmart — including articles, illustrations, the AI chat interface, design, and code — is the property of SmileSmart and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

• You may read and share SmileSmart content for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution
• You may not reproduce, republish, sell, or distribute SmileSmart content without written permission
• You may not scrape, copy, or systematically extract SmileSmart content

6. AI Chat Terms

The SmileSmart AI chat is powered by Anthropic's Claude. By using the AI chat:

• You understand that AI responses are informational only and not professional dental advice
• You will not attempt to use the AI chat to obtain diagnoses, prescriptions, or treatment plans
• You will not attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or misuse the AI system
• You understand that AI systems can make mistakes and their responses should not replace professional judgment

7. Affiliate Links & Shop

SmileSmart participates in the Amazon Associates Program and may earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through affiliate links in our shop. We only recommend products we genuinely believe in. The commission comes at no additional cost to you.

HiSmile product links in our shop link directly to HiSmile's website and are not affiliate links unless otherwise indicated.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

SmileSmart is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We do not warrant that SmileSmart will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-generated community content
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of SmileSmart or reliance on its content
• Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed $100

9. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of SmileSmart at any time without notice. We are not liable to you for any modification or discontinuation of the service.
